Fantastic location for walking, hiking and biking with wonderful views over over the North York Moors, Hood Hill, Gormire Lake and the Vale of Mowbray. “Finest in England” was what vet and author James Herriot described the tremendous view from Sutton Bank escarpment. Go to the visitor centre, hire a bike or wait until its dark and enjoy the stars on a clear night, one of three such Dark Sky Discovery Site in the North York Moors.
